Damn smoke!

The neighbors are smoking again.

Not tobacco or weed, this time its wet brush. They pile this stuff up once a week and let it smoulder so the smoke gets in the trees for mosquitos. I guess someone forgot to tell them there arent any permathrin plants growing here so palm-smoke aint gonna cut it. But damnit, its all inside my house!

JD posts as many positive comments as he does negative. Probably more. He’s entitled to his opinion. If people are apathetic and don’t complain, nothing changes or improves.

They never cared about the environment there in the past or never will in the future. Boracay is getting worst by the day with the over population of unemployed people (beggars), flooding after the rain storms, and sewage to name a few. I can care less about the political fuckers out there making their wallets fatter to overlook this bullshit. The rich stay rich and the poorer does whatever it takes to survive. I blame everything on the school systems and their parents. Fucking majority of the kids there don’t even go to school. It’s their country, eventually the tourism will go away to somewhere else. So will the people to ruin another place.

But hell yea, I still go to the Philippines. Where’s else can you buy a beer and a girl in the same breath for under $20??? Fuck that, 500 pesos and breakfast bitch!!

JD – complain all you want. This is your diary. You pay for this shit. Fuck anybody else who don’t like you to post a personal opinion.

    Hi JD,

    thanks for the friendly words!

What to do with the smoking neighbours??
I know from the past that there are many professional killers on Carabao Island (no joke) who could solve the problem for a cheap price..Or just breake their legs. But do we want to go down to this level??? I’m so glad I got out of these obligations, problems, money destruction and so on as I had the house in Angol! But it was also a very beautiful time for long. I have now a good time on the PH without obligations and outside of Boracay…Have a nice day, Peter

Of course you can post anything you like on this page. But it’s not a private diary also.
How could I know that you are tired of the “if you don’t like it, go home mentality” ?

Actually I didn’t say “go home”. It’s easy to get acccommodation on Boracay. Do you hope to change stupid/shit people to intelligent/nice ones? Usually no result or it ends with a stone on your head or a knife in your back leading to an unwanted peace…

And if you are tired of something, it doesnt mean that this “something” is bad. I’m also tired of going to CR several times per day but it’s still necessary and the best solution…

My message was simple. Life on the Philippines has many disadvantages but many people imcluding me come back all the time, so it must be also something positive there, isn’t it???
And I know that for this I must accept the disadvantages and if I don’t like something I change the place and/or the people. Because I cannot change them…

holy crap, now they’re burning a pile of rancid meat just below the balcony, I yelled at them and they kicked the fire out. its horrible. im having a chat with some legal authorities tomorrow, this is un acceptable

    —EDIT, 30minutes later—–
they are also burning styrofoam in the small valley off my balcony. I know that smell. I know he offered to take my large styrofoam trash the other day (something I’m careful to either use (buoys) or to put in the correct recycle bin). I also know exactly what polystyrene (styrofoam) ash looks like. Its all over the place.

I’m tired of this “if you don’t like it, go home” mentality. A guy has the right to say what he wants on his own site.

Yes, I will complain. I own this site and I have an opinion about something I dislike….so I complain. I am tired of people telling me that if I dont like it, then I should leave. Touche: if people dont like reading my complaints, they can likewise leave. But they dont (according to my stat logs). They choose to read and never comment just as I choose to stay on Boracay; despite both of our displeasure’s. Now, more explanation in a friendlier note |->

EVERY day, there is smoke in my room and house, enough that the sunlight has rays across the room because there is choking smoke… choking smoke. Not a small amount but instead great volumes! They stopped cooking with gas and coal a few months after we moved in here and started using bamboo scraps and spare construction wood. Three time a day, every day. Twice a week, they fog the ENTIRE hillside with the banana piles.

So please re-think your position, kind sir. No sane person would EVER agree/choose to live like that. They live like mountain jungle folk yet have cell phones and cable TV…. so you tell me, am I wrong for complaining?

As far I know you choose this place, so what is the sense to complain about all this things? It belongs to the Philippines. I had a house in Angol on the hill next to Music Garden for 8 years so I know something about it…Boracay is kaputt now. Have a good time
