Gecko Wars

I thought perhaps it was mating season but I’m thinking that the geckos are engaging in war. When they mate, the male pretty much goes Neanderthal and rapes his girl. They might circle a few times then he bites her on the back and holds her still while he does his bidness’.  But now, I keep seeing a lot of geckos with missing tails or regrowing a new one.

During the blackout/typhoon, I did see one that was edgy and going after others left and right. He was extremely sensitive to light for some reason. I would shine the lighter-lite on him , wiggle a little and he would freak out. Sometimes charging in my direction down the wall before turning back. A few others have also been edgy around the light, which is the first time I’ve seen it.

Yep they are out in force here in Iraq as well. I have a baby that holds down the office here. He keeps going from under my body armor to one of our storage drawers. There good to go in my book.
