Earth hour is on March 28th, 2009 and everyone is asked to turn of the power for a single hour. All about the environment.
If that happens here, somebodies gonna get hurt with an aluminum baseball bat.
And damnit, I’m tired of brownouts, I’ll be damned if I’m gonna bow to some hippy protesters.
Oh, and did you see the events organizers in London? They openly declared the use of force to shut off the electricity to every single building in downtown area. They threatened to vandalize and occupy any location with lights on. Now, how is that threat (on video) not grounds for arresting someone? They threatened violence. I should have gone there for my vacation with a single aluminum piece of carry-on.
They are threatening violence against people bowing to their political event. I’m not.

I better not have another damn brownout during Earth Hour

Yep, we still have things going on some nights at Pirates, and the beach garden is open again.
We had Brazilian drummers out front a couple of nights recently, and that pompous twat from Mandala is still complaining. It was only 9pm when he called up whining and it was only accoustic, no amp!
They still have something going on, but not like the big ones. The land out front turns out to be a separate lot in someone elses name and they got all retarded and tried blocking it off for a while. But nighttime is open in the front area (and daytimes again recently). To be honest I dont go down there too much anymore since the breeze died down.
Mar 27, 2009 at 9:03 AMNo more full moon parties Chad….still the noise shit. But maybe the Friday BBQs are still going on?
Mar 27, 2009 at 8:09 AMOh I almost forgot. Fuck the earth day shit. Fuck those hippies that think Man Made Global Warming is actually a fact instead of the biggest lie ever told to man kind by world governments to tax people. What a crock of shit. I’m turning on every light I find tomorrow.
Mar 27, 2009 at 6:25 AMCape Town is calling, they want JD on Long Street enjoying himself. The Great Whites want to cage dive with ya. And Nelson Mandela’s island (robbins island) needs you to check out his jail cell and get some culture. Just sayin….
Mar 27, 2009 at 6:23 AMJust show up to the island like everybody else does, on holidays and full moon parties. Unless the full moon parties suck now. Does Red Pirates do their thing out front, or is it a noise complaint from jealous resort owners like last time?
Mar 26, 2009 at 6:50 PMHe’s got a good point though, I’ve not been enjoying myself in a long time. I put something on facebook last night and someone replied back “thats why its an island” as if brownouts were ever acceptable anywhere in the world. If this was a “rugged backpacking jungle” location.. then I could see it. But this place is constantly marketed as ‘world class’ – which you and I both know isnt true.
I might leave in the next month or so, nothing fun here.
Mar 26, 2009 at 5:06 PMWow, it went from Earth Day bullshit to Peter telling JD to leave if you dont like brownouts. Seems like a common response from people on the blog now.
Mar 26, 2009 at 3:13 PMFor earth day I’m gonna turn on all my lights, both ACs, fire up the BBQ, and not seperate my recycle trash.
Mar 26, 2009 at 7:16 AMHi.Just to talk a little bit about your beloved topic “brownout”. In normal countries I lost 1 harddisk in 7 years, on Boracay I lost 10 harddisks in 2 years. I know well the remote province, they have a good electric and better roads than Boracay before. Biracay is always worst. Why??? Because most of the thieves are there in the local government, the money dosent reach the constructor. No brownot in Rl Nido, Coron,Guimaras, only on Boracay. The only culture Boracay has is brownout. I know you dont like it but just go to a better place if you cannot stand i…

I get your point about the Earth Day crap JD. How is forcing people to shut off their power going to help their cause?
