Yup, I’m in Manila now. As it usually happens, the decision was made after staying up all night drinking. I didn’t eat during that whole day/night and had a cheap sammich (with beer) in the airport lounge. Got to my hotel sometime around 11am yesterday, still drunk. 1st stop: EZ Mart for some booze! Told G. I would hook up with em’ later but passed the hell out until about 3am this morning.
Finally, I went to the 24hr McDonald’s on the corner for some food but now I feel all jittery, like I had lots of caffeine. I’m gonna change rooms because this one is kinda ratty and theres construction somewhere on the roof. I’m hanging a WiFi dongle across the room and out the window with a 15 foot cord to pick up other peoples signals… but its pretty spotty connectivity. Right now, I’m offline waiting for the return to send.
I’m leaving this hotel (Travelers Inn) and moving to Cherry Blossom in a few days cause man.. this place is a dump these days. No room service, little roaches, smells funny, horrible TV service, even the furniture looks like crap. Last time it was pretty decent. At least Cherry Blossom is near a mall and some decent bars. The only thing near here are go-go bars and 7-11′s. I swear, it seems like 9 of 10 people on the street are selling Viagra and Cialis.
I just had to get away from Boracay, it was driving me nuts with all that beach and water. I missed the pollution and horn-honking. Can’t stand all those wannabe environmentalist tourists that come every day complaining about the raping of “Bora” when they’re the whole problem – themselves … but most of all, nobody here knows me!
One odd thing, I dont think the Seair office/lounge ar Caticlan is actually run by Seair. They had no idea about available seats and had to call Manila and wait for 10 minutes to see if I could get on the flight and how much it would cost… and the flight turned out to be half empty.

meh… I went the cheap route… just walked up drunk and asked for a flight. Seair has the safest planes of the lot, Dornairs, also owned by that same family but not sure who manages it now. Dorair is one of the oldest flight engineering companies in the world with a better safety record than boeing or K…. not that it mattered in my decision. I was drunk, it was cheap.
Mar 16, 2009 at 4:04 PMi reckon seair was bought by some asian country airline… i used to fly seair and it sucks jedi… u should have gone to PAL…
Hi.Yes, Manila can be very good, you can meet very nice girls, not the Boracay garbage. You can have there a very good time. It’s not worth to stay in a rat place, in Manila you need a good accommodation. You fly Seair??? Why? You dont like the new airplanes of Cebu Pacific and Pal Express for a much cheaper price?? Have a good vacation from Boracay
