Tiny ants: They has a name!

Pharaoh ants. Apparently they’re all over the world and Florida too. These are the little insane bastards that appear in hoards about 60 seconds after dropping food.

But I cant get rid of them with anything so far and it seems to be normal for them to sidestep regular poisons. The way is to use boric acid or Borax mixtures with sugar (its already a powder). The ants eat it and spread the wealth back with the colony but don’t die soon, they die slowly thru dehydration instead of toxicity…. so you can kill the whole colony off.

My problem? No one here knows what boric acid or Borax is. In the US, its dirt cheap. It’s also an old-skool first-aid item found in most eye-washes and disinfectants. I would expect to find it here since they’re prone to looking at all the cheaper ways of doing things, and this stuff is normally dirt cheap.
