This mornings sunrise swim was at 530 am. Sunrise is anything between 4:30 and direct sunlight.  Swimming any later than that and you get the Filipinos in the water with shampoo and conditioner sachets…. which are always left as trash in the water. Gotta give it to ‘em, they loves them some hair care products.

Anywho, I realize its getting too late for much swimming, direct sunlight and all, so I make my way back and notice these tiny fish all over my crevices. Under the shirt, armpits, mask, any place that is a hiding place and these larger five-inch fish keep darting in to feed on them. Not used to being considered an artificial reef, this is altogether a new experience. So many of these small fish were around that they found refuge in my snorkel. I don’t know what they are but they look fully formed already.

This fish was not taken hostage by Filipino police.
