Boracay has taken another victim – me. I found out why they wont choppity-chop the fallen banana palm on the walkway up to here. Because its still alive and has another month to go for the bananas to be ready. This banana tree has been lying there since the typhoon was over many days ago, blown down right on the only path up the steep hill.
I was like….WTF?!?!?
So, being my neighbors area (I think) I’m just gonna offer him 200 pesos for the bananas and borrow his machete. Tree, be gone. Bananas, be trash.
Anyhoo, I was walking up the path the other day, erm night, erm, shortly before sunrise….. and took the path around the sidewalk. Its easy enough and so many people use it; its well traveled but not completely direct. I step up…step to the side off balanced with my bags, and slipped of landing on my butt. Roling backwards end over enf, I made it to the bottom of the hill without breaking anyting in the bags but my clothing ripped to the skin.
