Here’s a sample of the phone texts I’ve received in the past week or two… none of them relate to each other and come from different people:

dead baby. landlords 40 yr old daughter lost her first pregnancy an hour after delivering in her house. they were burning something downstairs that smelled pretty similar to checkpoint 1 on a frisky day and I though they might have been just cremating it right there outside on the porch. (I wouldnt put anything past my landlords). turned out to be an old tradition of burn-smoke-rising-babys soul-heaven-must-leave and make room for another- sorta thing.
