A guy lost on Boracay

So I’m sitting here thinking about how the internet connection has sucked for the past month and cruise over to Smart’s website and get details about their base-station wireless. It loads….. and loads… and loads… damnit, finish loading the flash animation!

Then it dawned on me that I was already on a Smart Wireless Broadband connection – and couldn’t get their own site to load.

   I went down to the office at station 2 and they could not get their heads away from that usb-thumb-modem wireless service they sell. They keep calling that broadband, (dear Smart, stop calling your service Broadband just because the adapter has the capability. When your signal strength cant deliver, then its not broadband).

   The security guard was the only one understanding me and after all that, they said I had to prepay all sorts of deposit and sign a yearlong contract before even checking line-of-sight and signal strength…… I was like, thats retarded, good bye.

   Too bad internet on the island sucks so bad. So much potential if they had broadband all around.
