A friend sent me this and all I can say is… WTF? Are these guys really taking souvenir ”Hero-Shots” in broad daylight with two of them smiling…? wow. just, wow.

Gun Ban on Boracay?

Written by JD. 2 comments Posted in: Uncategorized

Earlier this year and during the year before there was a good deal of firearm violations involving larger property owners hiring off-duty security guys to go shoot-em-up over land ownership disputes, property line disputes, and once just for the hell of it at an elementary school. Although local media misrepresented it with stories about no tourists [...]

I remember the people of Pakistan when that earthquake tore them a new one, 4 years ago. They went to the streets and burned American flags in gestures of friendship, while calling for our deaths (surely some form of spiritual thing) – they said America should be sending more aid. Some evil reporters twisted the [...]

Now I'm pissed off

But now I’m pissed off. Something simple and small. On ScubaBoard, someone did another of those retarded if you dont like it, then get out comments after I mentioned how white people get charged more for everything here…. which is  true in every corner of this country that I’ve visited. I know its useless for [...]

Stop saying that Pakistanis are peace-loving people and that the violence is “unrest” and being done by “separatists”… bullshit. When a quarter million people protest in the streets for the death of every civilian of another country…. guess what – that means that the PEOPLE are a hateful murderous population, not the government or separatists [...]

Our favorite topic about Boracay is back! The semi-regulated prostitution business. The government says it doesn’t want it here it and has placed the police on heightened vigilance…. I guess someone forgot to tell Manila that the police already regulate it and have been planting a boot in the ass of girls with expired pink-cards [...]

Think about it, there was almost no chance in hell that any white male was going to beat either a woman or a black guy.  They knew the failure was coming, and planned accordingly – in a pretty devious way. They put a very powerful Republican on the international screen. In everyone’s living room, on [...]

Brownout – massive one last night. Lasted from 8pm until around noon today. Sputtered to life a few times for moments. Electric company didn’t even know about it until people started calling them; then claimed a few hours later than nothing was wrong. Weather on Boracay – The coolness finally broke and the sun came [...]

UPDATE: these are two different stories I had thought were in the same area. The fire was a huge area of squatters that were filled with burka wearing women selling souvenirs at tons of stalls and had partially clothed kids running amok. Personally, I disliked walking thru there, it felt like taking a wrong turn [...]

Conversations to avoid

Written by JD. No comments Posted in: Uncategorized

For a long time now, I have avoided all conversations about politics. No two people think the same way and generally consider themselves to be right, so when confronted with a person that thinks differently (and also thinks they’re right) you end up with a long conversation that’s 1. not entertaining, 2. not enjoyable, 3. [...]
