I remember once weighing the size/weight/quality against the other places and Yellow Cab came out much better. Yes, its pricey but it was also a lot of food. Normally, I can easily eat 600 pesos of daMario for a 12″ pizza, order of fried calamaris, and a huge slab of lasagna. But ordering from Yellow Cab, it was a massive, huge, swollen pizza that even I couldn’t eat by myself in a night.

Not anymore.

Now the prices are about 800 pesos for an 18″ (inch) pizza. Toppings were sparse, little cheese, delivery refused to make change for larger peso bills even after the order-taker said they would bring change. Delivered luke-warm and even though box has the ‘crush prevent’ mounts, its still crushed with plastic splinters inside.

This has got to be the most expensive pizza I’ve ever had. More expensive than in the USA. I like how they use USA names/terms in the menu but have never opened a store in the US.  **UPDATE**  they finally opened a store in September 2008 in Ohio.

Dear Yellow Cab: Your menu says “HOT WINGS (4pcs.) crispy and juicy chicken wings in our  spicy wing sauce.” — umm, crispy? When did hotwings become fried-chicken wings and a single packet of ketchup that says ‘hot sauce’?

I only touched that place a couple times on the island. Way greasy and pretty bland pies. DaMarios is much better IMO.

When they first opened on the island, they weren’t as bad as you are saying they are nowadays. Give em time – the always screw things up there.

Shoot an email up the corp food chain.

hahaha remember i went off on yellow cab when they F’d up my order in Manla? I posted that for you in the comment section a few months ago. Anyway remind me when I come to visit sometime in the next year to stay away from there. I ended up getting some yellow cab pizza in manila at the store itself and it was pretty damn good. I’m still pissed off about that order they messed up though.
